In an out of the ordinary order, Justice Arun Monga of the Punjab and Haryana High Court today directed Punjab State Civil Supplies Corporation Limited (PUNSUP) to pay salary to an employee for about six years from date of his dismissal till substitution of punishment by stoppage of four increments.

PUNSUP was also directed to pay entire amount of arrears to the petitioner, along with seven per cent interest. For the purpose, Justice Monga set a three-month deadline. The appeal against dismissal of petitioner-employee Major Singh, Inspector Grade-2, was decided by PUNSUP board of directors.
