On the call of the state leadership, the local unit of the Punjab State Veterinary Inspectors’ Association led by its district president Manmohan Singh organised a protest dharna in front of the DC office in support of their demands on Friday.

They submitted a memorandum to the DC demanding immediate cancellation of mass-scale transfers made by the department and to fulfil all their long pending demands, including amendment in service rules, make seniority list online and to register veterinary inspectors by giving legal recognition.
