Best Lawyers in Chandigarh Bhola’s bail application dismissed
Mohali, August 1
A CBI court-cum-designated court under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act today dismissed the regular bail application of Jagdish Bhola, the prime accused in the multi-crore drug racket.
His bail application is said to have been dismissed keeping in view the serious nature of allegations.
Bhola had filed the application on the ground that he had been in police custody since January 2014. His counsel also pleaded that Bhola was falsely implicated in the case and the co-accused, Sukhraj Singh, Anoop Singh Kahlon, Gurjit Gaba and Maninder Singh, alias Bittu Aulakh, had already been released on regular bail by the court.
However, special public prosecutor for the Enforcement Directorate pleaded that the petitioner was one of the main accused in the crime. — TNS
