Dhuri Congress MLA Dalvir Singh Goldy along with area residents today protested against the toll authorities near Ladda village as the later were trying to put up nakas on a link road, constructed parallel to the toll road on the embankment of a canal by area residents.

“The toll authorities can charge toll only on the Sangrur-Dhuri road because they have constructed that road, but the alternate road on the embankment of the canal has been constructed by Ladda and Benra village residents by pooling money and the toll authorities have no right to charge toll on this link road. We will launch an indefinite protest if they forcibly tried to charge toll,” said MLA Goldy while protesting.
