Dairy animal death toll rises to 104

Sangrur, June 2

The Malerkotla dairy owner today alleged that his nine more animals died in the past 24 hours, taking the death toll to 104, while Animal Husbandry Department officers increased their official death toll to 48 against the May 31 figure of 42.

Mohd Shamshad, nephew of owner of Dairy Liyakat Ali, alleged that out of their total 110 animals, 104 have died in the past one week. — TNS
