2 kids die in wall collapse

Ludhiana, June 1

A wall of an under-construction house collapsed during a dust storm killing two children here on Saturday.

The deceased have been identified as Nitish Kumar (7) and his sister Syali (4).

Investigation officer and incharge of the Mundian Kalan police post ASI Surinder Kumar said the deceased children, whose father runs a tea vend in the area, were playing in the street. At around 4 pm dust storm struck the city. The children took shelter near the wall, which collapsed on them. They suffered serious injuries and were rushed to a nearby hospital where doctors declared them brought dead.
