Stabbed Muktsar woman still critical

A day after a youth allegedly stabbed a woman multiple times at Sarainaga village, the victim’s father today said she was still in a critical condition.

“The doctors at the PGIMER, Chandigarh, are trying to fix her hand as her thumb was chopped off. She is losing her consciousness after short intervals. The accused, Joginder Singh, has brutally attacked my daughter. She has injuries all over. I am unable to even see her,” said Malkit Singh, a daily-wager.

He said some village residents had contributed money for her treatment. “Besides, some politicians, including the local MLA, had come to our residence yesterday. We want a strict action against the culprit,” he added.
