Chandigarh, May 28
Punjab Ekta Party's leader Sukhpal Khaira today said that he would initiate efforts to bring Dr Dharamvira Gandhi's Nawan Punjab Party and Lok Insaaf Party of Bains brothers under one roof to form a single party.
Khaira said there should be one symbol and constitution of the party and all leaders should work to strengthen it. He said only then they could dream of doing something before 2022 elections.
Khaira said he was not in race for any designation, but want all leaders to come together to provide a third alternative to the people.
He also ruled out going back to AAP and said they could consider an alliance with AAP if it didn't ally with the Congress in the upcoming Delhi elections.
He hailed Cabinet minister Navjot Singh Sidhu for raising concerns of Punjab. He said their doors were always open for him.
