Seven days after the murder of 21-year-old city girl Prabhleen Kaur in Canada, her father Gurdiyal Singh Matharu said he would go to Canada to cooperate with the team investigating the case. He said he had sought the help of MP Santokh Chaudhary to bring her daughter’s body back to India.

Three days after the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IIHT) tweeted about there being a second deceased – an 18-year-old boy – in the case, Matharu, who got visa for Canada today, said he had not yet received any details on the case.

Matharu said, “There are some falsehoods and conjectures doing the rounds. The investigation needs to be thorough, it can’t be termed closed. I received a mail from the investigators. I had sought more details from them, but they are asking me to come there to cooperate with them. ”

Matharu said, “For bringing my daughter’s body back, I have sought tickets for myself and my wife from the government.”

On November 25, the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team had tweeted that the victim was a 21-year-old female from India and the second deceased was an 18-year-old male resident of Lower Mainland. “We are not looking for further suspects,” it said.
