A Rajasthan Police team nabbed a man for allegedly killing his wife Roshani Devi (40) in Shereka village near Tibbi on the intervening night of Friday and Saturday.

The accused, Bhagi Ram (42), was held from his hideout near the village, near the Indo-Pak border in Khuyiansarwer sub-tehsil here.

Brother of the deceased, Mangi Lal, informed the police that Roshani had been married for two decades and the couple was having dispute over an issue for the past four days.

The accused had reportedly entered his house, picked up a spade and assaulted Roshani; he left only after reassuring himself that she had died.

His mobile call location information reportedly indicated he had moved here.

A case was registered under Section 302 of the IPC and the body was given to her parents after postmortem. Further probe is underway.
