Rural Development Minister Tript Rajinder Singh Bajwa today lashed out at former state Congress chief and Rajya Sabha member Partap Singh Bajwa for his alleged attempts to “sabotage” the party in the run-up to the Assembly byelections.

He said Bajwa had mischievously raked up the sensitive issue of sacrilege of Guru Granth Sahib even as the state government had already questioned the move of the CBI to reopen the case after filing a closure report despite the fact that the investigation had been withdrawn from the agency. He alleged that Bajwa’s design had the potential to harm the Congress. He alleged that Bajwa was playing into the hands of the Opposition.
