Moga, September 26
A 66-year old woman was allegedly raped by a 28-year old youth at Dharamkot town in Moga district, the police said here today.
The accused, identified as Laadi of Dharamkot, went to the house of the victim to repair an LPG stove. As he got to know that she was alone, he raped her. The woman resisted his move, but to no avail.
Before fleeing, Laadi thrashed her and threatened her with dire consequences. The victim informed the police following which she was taken to a government hospital for medical examination.
ASI Sunita Rani said Laadi was arrested and produced in a local court that sent him to judicial custody for 14 days. — TNS
