PATIALA: The local police have booked a man for allegedly forcing his wife to undergo abortion by feeding her pills at Bakhsiwala Dera, Jagtpura village, here. According to the police, the victim said that she had gone to the Government Health Centre in Bhadson on August 3 to confirm pregnancy. “I and my husband had a fight before going to the hospital. As soon as we reached home, he thrashed me mercilessly and forced me to take pills,” he alleged. The victim was then rushed to the Government Rajindra Hospital. During treatment, doctors informed the victim that she had a miscarriage. The police said the suspect had a boy from his first marriage and a daughter from his second marriage. TNS
