Ferozepur, August 31

The administration has dismissed a kanungo of Ferozepur cantonment, Balkar Singh, in a land record fraud case worth Rs 1.11 crore. The orders mentioned that the official would not be eligible for government service.

Deputy Commissioner Chander Gaind said the action was taken on the basis of an investigation carried out by the ADC following a complaint by the BSF.

The BSF had detected a fraud in the revenue record of patwar circle of Palla Megha when the erring official was posted there. — OC
