Two bikers were killed and seven persons injured on Thursday in mishaps.
Banwari Lal (35) died on the spot and his friend Budh Ram (55) of Goluwala village was grievously injured as the motorcycle they were riding rammed into a school bus that was waiting for children at 13GB village on the Suratgarh road in Sriganganagar.
Arun Kumar (19) of Manjhuwas village, Sriganganagar, was killed as a bus of Punjab Roadways allegedly hit his bike near Sayeedwala village on the Abohar-Sriganganagar highway. Driver Sukhminder Singh of Lakkadwala village, Muktsar, who fled leaving behind the bus, has been booked under Sections 304A and 427 of the IPC.
Jaspal Singh, Lal Chand Nayak, Pushpa, Durga and children Gayatri and Parmesh were injured as two bikes collided on the Jaitsar road in Sriganganagar. — OC
