The police have booked two persons for allegedly sharing an obscene video on social media, claiming that the man seen in it was Gidderbaha MLA Amrinder Singh Raja Warring’s brother-in-law Amit Kumar Dimpy Vinayak.
In his complaint, Dimpy claimed that the defamatory video was uploaded on Facebook page “Congress Mukt Punjab”.
“During the investigation, I found that Nachattar Singh of Tarn Taran, Anoop Kular of Bathinda and six-seven unidentified people operate this page. These people with an aim to defame me and my brother-in-law Raja Warring have uploaded the video. However, the person seen in the video is not me,” claimed Dimpy in his complaint.
A case under Sections 464, 465, 469, 471, 499, 500 of the IPC and 66 (A), 67(A) of the Information Technology Act has been registered.
