IT case against Capt adjourned till June 10

The court of CJM PS Kaleka on Friday adjourned the hearing in an alleged income tax evasion case against CM Capt Amarinder Singh and two cases against his son Raninder Singh till June 10. Income Tax lawyer Rakesh Gupta partly examined Deputy Director Amanpreet Kaur as witness in the CM’s case but her evidence could not be concluded due topower failure in the court complex. The department may examine her in next hearing. OC

Ghubaya’s counsel told to file reply in age row case

In response to a poll petition filed by BJP ex-MLA Surjit Kumar Jyani on May 27, seeking the managements of DAV Senior Secondary School and Preet Nursing Home, Jalalabad, be summoned as witnesses to verify the date of birth of Fazilka Congress MLA Davinder Singh Ghubaya, the court has directed the latter’s counsel to file a reply on July 26, the next date of hearing in the case.
