Dhuri rape accused jailed; police ready chargesheet

The Dhuri police have prepared the chargesheet in the minor rape case within a week and will submit it in a day or two in the court. The main accused, conductor-cum-helper Kamal Kumar, was sent to Sangrur Jail today after the end of his four-day police remand.

“We have collected all evidence during the four-day police remand of main accused Kamal and the court sent him to Sangrur Jail today. Total four persons — main accused Kamal Kumar, school incharge Babita and management members Tarsem lal and Jiwan Jain — have been arrested in the case. The chargehseet will be filed in a day or two,” said Mohit Aggarwal, DSP, Dhuri.
