4 gangsters held after shootout with policemen

Four gangsters were arrested on Friday after a shootout with the Bathinda police at Jattana Kalan village in Mansa district.
The police had gone to arrest the gangsters, but they started firing at them. They fired around 35-40 rounds at the police. When the cops retaliated, the gangsters fired another 30 rounds.
Two bullets hit the bulletproof jacket of CIA Staff 1 incharge Inspector Amritpal Singh Bhatti.
After half an hour, the police succeeded in arresting gangsters Karamjit Singh of Sunam tehsil in Patiala, Karamvir Singh, alias Krishan Singh of Bhikhi in Mansa district, Akshpreet Singh of Bhikhi and Bharat Singh of Dharma Singh of Mansa.
The police seized four rifles, three pistols, bullets and two vehicles from the gangsters.
SSP Nanak Singh said the police arrested four members of the Buddha gang. —TNS
